‘Oumuamua Is Still Reticent In Our Solar System

Remember ‘Oumuamua? The reticent cigar-shaped asteroid discovered by Hawaiian scientists that’s now rumored to be a flying saucer?

As of recent, many have been questioning whether or not ‘Oumuamua is really an asteroid.  The real question is: Where is it now?

Astronomers in the outback region of Western Australia used the Murchison Widefield Array telescope to eavesdrop on the Solar System’s newly-discovered visitor.

According to a new study, no cigar was ever discovered.

‘We found no such signals with the non-terrestrial origins,’ the researcher wrote in a research paper.

The researchers learned about the mysterious, incardinated (Astronomers recently discovered that Oumuamua is of a red colour) space rock last year, when it was spotted by the Pan-STARRS1 telescope in Hawaii on 19 October, 2017.

Scientists named this asteroid ‘Oumuamua—Hawaiian for ‘a messenger from afar, arriving first.’

Moreover, Associate Administrator Thomas Zurburchen for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate at the Agency’s HQ in Washington, D.C., stated at the time that ‘the name highlights Oumuamua’s unique background;’ and it’s ‘the first direct evidence of an object that originated in another star system that has passed through our own solar system.’

‘Oumuamua’s mercurial, yet peculiar cigar-like shape and unusual orbital characteristics prompted some to wonder whether or not it was an interstellar spacecraft—perhaps those used by extraterrestrials—according to a recent study. The researchers decided to examine the data signals that might indicate the presence of intelligent life associated with ‘Oumuamua.

In order to perceive further information, the astronomers turned to the Murchison Widefield Array, a telescope located in Western Australia’s remote Murchison region, distant from the buzz of Human Activity and Radio Interference. They observed data produced by the Murchison Widefield Array during November, December as well as early January, when ‘Oumuamua was still at its peak, between fifty-nine-million and three-hundred- and sixty-six-million miles (which is ninety-five-million and five-hundred- and thirty-nine million in kilometres) from our planet Earth.

In particular, the astronomers checked for radio transmissions coming from the roughly quarter-mile-long (four-hundred-metres) asteroid—which is ‘Oumuamua—between the frequencies of seventy-two and one-hundred- and two megahertz, a range that is similar to the frequencies used in FM Radio Broadcasts.

Back to the researchers:

‘These transmitter powers are well within the capabilities of human technologies, and are therefore plausible for alien civilizations.’

Furthermore, the results added more evidence that, unfortunately, ‘Oumuamua is not a complex alien ship—yet if it is, it’s not talking on those frequencies. Rather, it’s most likely that the fragment of a comet that lost much of its surface water after being bombarded by cosmic rays on its lengthy trek through interstellar space. If advanced civilizations do exist elsewhere in our galaxy, we can speculate that they might develop the capability to launch [a] spacecraft over interstellar distances and that these spacecrafts may use radio waves to communicate.’ Lead researcher of the study Steven Tingay, deputy executive director at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) in Australia, said in a statement.

According to a Queen’s University Belfast scientist, ‘Oumuamua actually had a violent past before coming across our solar system—something unlikely for a normal comet or asteroid.

Russian Cosmonauts Discover An Organism On the ISS’ Hull That’s Absolutely NOT Human

Russian cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) discovered what may be the first case of alien life—or even DNA—of visitors from another dimension. Spacewalkers often take samples and materials when they stroll outside for what the cosmonauts call “Extravehicular Activity”. Upon discovery of samples and materials, the “residue” is then taken down to scientists who then study them to understand the workings on both the ISS and life in space. Anton Shkaplerov, a Russian cosmonaut who has served onboard the space lab, told the Russian media that during examination, one of those materials turned out to be alien (e.g. unhuman). He stated: “Bacteria that had not been there during the launch of the ISS module were found on the swabs,” the Russian cosmonaut continued. “So, they have flown from somewhere in space and settled on the outside hull.”

Shkaplerov made it perfectly clear that “there is no danger,” and that scientists are struggling and doing more work to find out what this organism is. Could this be DNA—or even a failed test—from an Alien? Shkaplerov also stated that similar missions of the ISS had found bacteria that could survive outrageous temperatures that range between minus one-hundred-fifty degrees Celsius and one-hundred-fifty. Another thing Shkaplerov stated about this recent discovery is that the bacteria—or bacterias—can survive in the harsh, yet deep environments of space.

Earlier this year, a team of Russian scientists announced that the “Test” experiments they conducted had a range of different organisms that had in fact been brought up from Earth. According to the team of scientists, the organisms seemed to be surviving by clinging onto the International Space Station’s hull. “Experiments of various years have revealed fragments of Mycobacteria DNA—a marker of heterotrophic bacterial sea plankton in the Barents Sea; the DNA of extremophile bacteria of the genius Delftria; the DNA of bacteria closely related to those found in soil samples from the island of Madagascar; vegetative genomes; the DNA of certain species of Archaea and the DNA of fungus species Erythrobasidium and Cystobasidium,” the Russian Space Agency “Roscosmos” said in a statement obtained by TASS—that was published in May of two-thousand-seventeen.

Of course it isn’t entirely clear where the organisms are currently being stored and what scientists have discovered about them.

Cigar-Shaped Comet Discovered by Astronomers in Hawaii

May I introduce you to Oumuamua, this cigar-shaped comet raced through our solar system from another. Oumuamua’s size is up to a quarter mile long and is highly elongated as well. Its aspect ratio is greater than that of any asteroid or comet inside or outside of the solar system. The discovery was funded by NASA on the twentieth of November, two-thousand-seventeen. NASA and its discoverers believe that this bizarrely-shaped object that suddenly bursted from another solar system traveled for hundreds of millions of years before coming in contact with ours. “For decades now, we have theorized that such interstellar objects are out there, wandering.” Thomas Zurbuchen for NASA’s Science Mission in Washington stated, “And now—for the first time—we have direct evidence that they exist,” he continued. “This history-making discovery is opening a new window to study formations of solar systems beyond our own.”

Karen Meech of the Institute for Astronomy in Hawaii along with a team of astronomers discovered that Oumuamua varies in brightness by a factor of ten, as it spins on its axis every seven point three hours. Meech and the team of astronomers discovered this phenomenon within Oumuamua by simply combining the images from the FORS instrument on the ESO telescope using four different filters with those of other large telescopes. According to Meech and the group, no known asteroid or comet from our solar system varies so widely in brightness, with a large ratio between length and width, as well. But what about the other comets or asteroids outside of our solar system? Is this the only comet in the whole galaxy that varies widely in brightness as well as having a large ratio between length and width? The question remains a big mystery to us all. The most elongated objects protruding through our solar system from another are no more than three time as long as they are wide.

“This unusually big variation in brightness means that the object is highly elongated. It’s about ten times as long as it is wide, with a complex, convoluted shape.” Meech stated.

It’s fascinating how every star and asteroid is one-of-a-kind when it comes to its shape, size and functionalities. After reading this, you’re probably still asking yourself: Where did it come from? Well, most comets follow ellipse-shaped orbits around the sun. But this comet appears to orbit at an angle, and also doesn’t circle the sun. Its orbital path suggests that it entered our solar system from the direction of the constellation, Lyra. Oumuamua has already looped around the sun, it will never return.

However, others suggested that the comet didn’t come from Earth, but interacted with Jupiter (biggest planet in our solar system) or with another planet, causing the comet to change its orbit.
